three generations strong
In 1973, Barry Dawson built his first knife shop inside a dilapidated barn. Fresh off a stint in Vietnam and flat broke, he built most of his machinery himself out of parts scavenged from the local landfill. What he didn't know, he learned, and what didn't exist yet, he invented.
Almost 50 years later Dawson Knives has grown to encompass three generations of knifemakers, all working together out of our shop in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
both materials and workmanship
Like the rest of my Dawsons....awesome quality, look more like museum pieces, sharpest knifes I've dealt with. Top shelf blades and company.
I purchased for my husband. He loves it so much that he decided to buy one for each of our sons. This is the best you can get
Fit's in my hand just right small blade , for me it's perfect for skinny , haven't used it yet , I can tell it'll be perfect for that task N hand , really good quality in the craftsmanship.....🇺🇸🇺🇸
It’s that simple. Hold one with bear hand and then you’ll understand the importance of history, pride of craftsmanship and legacy that comes with one.
Thank you. My new blade's beauty is only outdone by it's function and sturdiness. By the way, it's gorgeous.
Looks great - good hand feel - can't wait to figure out all the ways I'm going to use & abuse it
A true piece of craftsmanship. This is the third knife I’ve purchased from Dawson. All three are exceptional knives. Thank you… keep up the great work.
I've purchased several small Dawson knives recently for EDC use. I like the Dawson blades because they have a very "slicey," concave grind in Magnacut. The toughness of Magnacut makes such a grind hold up well, and the high stain resistance is useful in wet environments. The Razorback is great for EDC because it has a short, compact blade that is stunning in the Arizona Copper finish, plus very useful with a deep belly. There is also a notch for breaking wire, which may be useful for some. It has a large handle that allows for a 4 finger grip for me (medium sized hands), and with the deep notch and groves in the G10 the grip is very solid. Fit and finish were perfect. All in all a handy, small, but rugged knife that is great for EDC.

Awesome beautifully crafted knife with MagnaCut steel . Very sharp ! Well balanced with great secured gripping in any position. Love it !!!
I purchased the Explorer Elite with the copper finish and the carbon fiber scales. It’s an extraordinarily beautiful knife, with a solid feel in the hand. I will be taking it with me to the Darien jungle this April and expect it will be a valued companion.
