Great feel and balance. Beautifully finished. Keen edge. Nice sheath. Well worth the price.
This is not my first Dawson. While I definitely don’t NEED any more knives, I’m sure this won’t be my last. On a blade this size I’m not sure the hamon actually serves much of a purpose, but it looks great! Something somewhat unique. The handle feels as if it is part of my hand, as with my other Dawsons. The Shepard may actually be the perfect EDC blade.
I heard John Roy being interviewed on undaunted life a man’s podcast and I knew then this is exactly the type of folks I like to do business with I bought a marauder and it is zesty.
This knife has exceeded all expectations, absolutely beautiful. This blade impressed me so much that I had to order the Harvester to go with this Woodsman...I'm gonna be in so much trouble. 😂
My 5th Dawson knife. They never disappoint. Sheath needs refinement or replacement as its simply too beefy and overbuilt for most. A thin tack sheath with a pushoff ramp and shallow so it gives you more handle to grab would be ideal. Blade is great. Consider doing away with sharpening choil or off that as an option.
