I bought this because the combat knife I'm currently using is s45vn Ronin from spartan blades and while it's fantastic, it did not come very sharp and every sharpening tool ive attained struggles with the recurve blade. Seeing as I'm currently deployed I need a sharp knife. One of the guys told me about Dawson knives and I learned about magnacut steel and this knife seemed to fulfill my immediate needs. I loved the look and while I really wanted a wardog, the knife length restrictions prevented me from that route. That being said, this knife is incredible!! The quality way surpasses my spartan blade ronin the blade is actually sharp, and I can use it when I get back for hunting or back packing. I would love a wardog style knife with a shorter 4 inch blade due to length restrictions.

Great edc

I've been on the search for a "small" fixed blade that isn't underwhelming. Something to hang out on the belt with my leatherman. This nails it. Great handle, with the screw driver/ pummel for the dirty work. Not too long of blade (or sheath), makes it feel natural and easy to use. The shape and colors make it a bit intimidating, but the ergo and usability make me want it with me more than most knives I've held.

Also love the holes for fixing to a stick as a spear, should than ever seem necessary
