Re: Great Knife for Backpack

Ok, maybe I'm not completely objective. I own a bunch of Dawson knives. But my buddies and I agree that this is our absolute favorite small knife for carry. Tough, stays sharp, obvious quality to impress all who see it. Dawson delivers again!

Absolutely Beautiful Blade

I'm becoming somewhat of a regular customer of Dawson Knives and have tried a bunch of other high tier brands as well being (Bradford, James, etc) Some
of these other companies produce good stuff, however they all feel cold, and cookie cutter. Not Dawson though... When you hold a Dawson Knife you can tell it was made by professionals who love their craft and truly respect and hold to the highest standard the tools these blades are intended to be. That being said, I think moving forward I'll stick with Dawson for every blade purchase from here on out. Color me impressed.

The Typhoon is no exception. When I saw the Japanese inspired blades hit the market, I knew I had to have one. I wrestled with myself a bit on whether I wanted the Typhoon or the Kogai, and eventually even called the office to ask questions regarding both (they were awesome, by the way). Ultimately, I stuck with the Typhoon for it's slimmer profile and blade stock, with ease of carry on my outdoor excursions in mind (ANNND I may have still reserved a Kogai out of the next batch, but we're not mentioning that one to the wife). When it arrived, I was not disappointed. This is by far one of the most beautiful knives I have ever held in my life, and I would highly recommend getting your hands on one as soon as humanly possible.

Here in Oregon, outdoor activities can take you from the city to the deep wilderness in the blink of an eye... and when the terrain gets rough, it's important to have tools that you know can take the punishment and keep fighting back. Dawson fills that niche with pride. I'll be recommending their products to all of my friends out here in the PNW for EDC, bushcraft, hunting, fishing, etc.

Thanks as always, Dawsom family! You guys are great.
