Crafted from premium CPM-Magnacut stainless steel in heavy-duty .210" stock, the Shepherd XL features a 5.5" blade that is highly resistant to corrosion or staining. Thanks to our own specialty heat treat, Dawson blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels.

Our American-made G10 handle stands up to rain, snow, mud and just about anything else you can think of. We designed our handles for secure, comfortable, hot-spot free use in all seasons and textured them for improved grip when the going gets wet.

The Shepherd XL also features a completely redesigned GEN 2 Carbon Fiber Kydex sheath, featuring an improved, rattle free fit, horizontal, vertical, MOLLE and beltless carry options and more. Truly a Masterpiece

This knife is perfect. It’s a great size, heavy in the hand, but not too much. You can tell this will last for a lifetime. I love the blade shape and the edge was great. It’s first use was slicing like butter into a ribeye steak cooked over a campfire in the mountains and of course you know it was medium rare.

Shepherd XL Magnacut is Next Level

There’s no way I can properly describe the level of craftsmanship in this knife. The blade is perfectly balanced in my hand, excellent grip at any angle, Kydex sheath fits snugly without any noise play. I bought the Arizona Copper finish and everyone that sees it is absolutely amazed. But for me the most impressive part, this is the sharpest knife I have ever seen. Scary wicked sharp. I’m headed out the first week in September for opening archery Elk and Black bear in Northwestern Montana for two weeks. I bought this knife specifically for this hunt and I know I will not be disappointed. In my opinion, this is a workhorse and a work of art all in one. The fact that this is built by company/ family of faith just seals the deal.

Blade for the SGV

In just a few days this knife proves it's meant for desert/Mediterranean terrain, I garden a lot and use to make clippings and chopping off thick viney bush plants, and just the feeling of carrying around this badass.

I have purchased four blades from Dawson. Each one is remarkably stronger, sharper, and just plain better than anything else on the market. Don't waste your time looking for something better - it doesn't exist.

Razor sharp

At this point I have cleaned well over 100lbs of beef pork and chicken with this blade and have not had the need to sharpen it another winner winner 👏 yet again thank you John and team dawson

DIESEL DOC

Outstanding craftsmanship!! I have purchased several of their knives and a sword! Everything comes razor sharp and holds the edge well! These are much more than an EDC or purpose built. In my opinion these are family heirlooms, in which I plan to pass down from generation to generation! Made in America by fellow christian artisans! What's not to love?! FYI.. for the people who may feel these are "overpriced".. Just remember, you get what you pay for and IF you buy one, I'm certain you will buy more. These knives are second to none!!

Premium work! Absolutely love the Shepard Rainstorm. I thought the blue handles would be a little brighter but thats ok, I understand picture lighting. The carbon fiber sheath is awesome! Good quality

I received the knife as a few days earlier than what I expected. I was getting ready to go on a trip out of the country. I only had time to look at it really. In that short time I appreciate an awesome blade. I would say that I was expecting a heavier knife, but the weight is fairly good. I can tell that this knife will do good in action. Love the colors. I have not tried the sheath on my belt yet, but it looks strong and the knife locks in well. Like I said, I have not have the knife for long enough to make a more detailed assessment but for the looks and feel I am happy.

First Dawson

I decided to buy a Dawson after seeing the Reaper. I must admit that it took me a few days to fully appreciate the Dawson details. Once the blade became familiar I knew I made a good choice. The Reaper is a balanced and efficient cutting tool. A blade design that truly cuts and not just a sharp pry bar. Well done Dawson.

1st EDC Fix Blade

This is my first EDC Fix blade knife. In the past, I always used a folding blade but this one is working fine for me. The Kydex sheath fits my carpenter's pants side pocket. I just need to get used to putting back into the sheath.
