This knife has a kind of magic. Before this, I had already purchased over ten fixed blades—I truly believed I would never need another one. But then, one day, I stumbled upon this piece online. The price wasn’t cheap, but ever since that moment, I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Its Arizona Copper finish paired with the deep red handle creates a visual that some might call Western—but to me, it evokes the worn elegance of the steampunk era, a kind of noble, leathery patina that speaks to something older and more artistic. It’s a collector’s knife, an art knife, and a legacy piece.

As an artist myself, I asked Dawson to engrave a personal vow onto the blade: “DIE FOR ART.” It’s a heavy phrase, but this knife can carry that weight.

What surprised me even more is how perfectly it feels in hand. The handle is incredibly comfortable—no hot spots, no bite, just a solid, confident grip. The finger grooves lock your hand in place with quiet assurance. It feels safe, balanced, and deeply intentional. Every line of this knife seems to say: you can trust me.

When I received the Marauder XL I expected it to be bulkier. But I was pleasantly surprised!!! The knife has the super solid feel I wanted but has an agility that I didn’t expect. This surpasses my expectations! The handle looked and felt so nice. The only thing I wished was for them to have Micarta in stock. But this does not take away at all from a brilliant knife!!!! Highest possible recommendation!

This is one beautiful knife, incredibly stout, built, and the sharpest knife I’ve received from any manufacture be very careful with these knives. They are incredibly sharp and built to use.

This is a well made knife. Very sharp and good size for work around the camp site. The blade feels a little forwar d but not so much are to be an issue. It's a great chopper. The kydex sheath is a bit wide but securely holds the knife. The staff at the factory were very helpful and a pleasure to work with.
I would very mIuch recommend this blade.
