THIS IS A PIECE OF ART, I WAS THINKING OF NOT USING IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO SOIL IT ONCE I SAW IT IN PERSON! I USED IT 4 TIMES AND IT GOT STAINED, DAWSON CALLED IT A PATINA. IT'S NORMAL. SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEARTACHE, GET HAPPICH SIMICHROME POLISH PASTE TO RESTORE YOUR KNIFE TO BRAND NEW. AND GET A FROGLUBE KNIFE CARE KIT TO PRESERVE IT. DAWSON DID OFFER A ONE TIME RESTORE AT NO CHARGE WHICH I APPRECIATE. I'D RATHER THEY TOLD ME WHAT TO USE TO MAINTAIN IT MYSELF. I'M GETTING ONE AS A GIFT FOR MY SON....
Great quality and finish. Feels good in the hand and a nice blade design.
Very nice knife. Super sharp. Love the monsoon pattern on the blade. Handle fits good in hand and is well balanced. Only down side it was so nice I had to buy another for my brother.. I am sure he will like it as much me :)
AS.
Greetings from Estonia! Ordered the Harvester as an addition to my main hunting knife the Huntsman in MagnaCut. Mainly to try out the new exciting steel - thank you Dawson for staying on the cutting edge of steel innovation and making it available for the common man across the globe!
I got it for processing smaller game as beavers. And also to try the different all-curve blade shape.
So far I can confirm, that it needs a little more care compared to MagnaCut to keep it from rust. But also really seems to be easyer to sharpen by whetstone.
Nice small blade in a handy sheath.
I would very much appreciate if you guys at Dawson would unpack a little more the choices and reasons for different blade shapes and legths on your website.
Best wishes and may the force be with you!
