Designed with the American working man in mind, the rugged Contractor EDC is built from heavy-duty .210" CPM-MagnaCut steel to stand up to all your toughest jobs and toughest environments. Our beefiest EDC to date, the Contractor features a wider blade and thicker handle than any of our standard EDCs to give you plenty to hold onto in a compact, easy to carry package.  

CPM-Magnacut stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion or staining, and thanks to our own specialty heat treat, Dawson blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels. 

Our American-made G10 handle says, "Aw, that's cute" to rain, snow, mud and just about anything else you can think of. We designed all our handles for secure, comfortable, hot-spot free use in all seasons and textured them for improved grip when the going gets wet.

The Contractor also features a completely redesigned GEN 2 Carbon Fiber Kydex sheath, featuring an improved, rattle free fit, horizontal, vertical, MOLLE and beltless carry options and more. Specially designed for compatibility with the included UltiClip 3.3 Slim for secure, inside-the-pocket carry on the jobsite or around the ranch.

Great knife!

The knife exceeded my expectations! If I had one real comment it would be on the sheath. If there is a way to minimize the size of the sheath and stop it closer to the blade so you can get a little more purchase on the handle for the draw it would be great.

This knife is an art piece. It is a beautifully designed piece of steel and is wicked sharp. I love the knife. The only thing I did not like is the sheath design because the Kydex comes too far up the handle of the knife and does not give me enough purchase on the handle as I would like. Aside from that, you will not be disappointed by this knife.

Lifetime contract with 3 Monsoon Contractors

That’s right, I love my first one that ordered 2 more in Monsoon just with different handles. Between these Contractors vs MKC hunting or their EDC version- no contest ! Dawson knives IMO outshines them all in its quality and utility. It’s robustness, a definite factor. I have so many EDC blades of the same configuration and clearly my Dawson knives top them all. It’s not overrated. It’s just the way they manufacture these knives! Attention to detail, craftsmanship is among best in the industry. Well…maybe if Dawson makes their sheath a lot better so as to make it more of a thin profile like perhaps a “taco” shape. Just provide enough lashing holes for Ulticlip or just plain bolataron or Kydex sheath- thinnest possible. I always ended up buying a customized Kydex sheath for them. They’re just too large and bulky in my pocket. Don’t really want them on my belt. Anyway, just buy the Contractor if you’re looking for EDC. Just do it… No don’t think about it 🤨 Buy it!😅
