The vast majority of knives for sale are advertised as being "razor sharp" and very rarely are they even close. This knife is not just razor sharp, it is scary sharp. I chose this knife because the wharncliffe blade is my favorite type of blade; I find that it cuts better and it is easier for me to sharpen.
Based on the reviews I was concerned about the sheathe but I have had no problem with it. I am a short man but I don't find the sheathe too bulky. It is sturdily built, and the knife slips in easily (with an audible "click") and comes out easily as well. The sheathe arrived in a position for vertical carry but I prefer the horizontal carry. After I changed the straps around (I added some blue loctite to ensure the screws wouldn't back out) I've been wearing the sheathe for about a week now, both driving and riding a horse, with no issues. I highly recommend this knife.
Very nice quality, excellent balance and feel and beautiful all in one package trifecta!
I have/had a lot of knives through out my life and most of them I break due to daily use. I have not had the opportunity to use the reaper on a camping or hunting tip yet. But I assure you I will test its boundaries.
I also bought the smuggler and the Dominion.
The smuggler I use daily and it is an awesome addition to my EDC.
Incredible product by an incredible company. My first purchase from them, but certainly not my last.
I've spent some time using the Woodsman, and this thing is exactly what you want in a hard-use outdoor blade no gimmicks, just performance.
It feels solid in the hand without being overly bulky. The balance is right where it should be, and it gives you confidence whether you're doing fine work or putting some force behind it.
The steel holds an edge extremely well; the handle is another standout. Its comfortable, grippy, and it doesn't create hot spots even after extended use,
this knife feels purpose built.
If you want a dependable, hard-use fixed blade that you don't have to baby, the Woodsman delivers.
