NEW Mountain Man Bowie | CPM MagnaCut Steel | Apocalypse Black Finish
As always outstanding design and quality
The Mountain Man Bowie has excellent balance and grip. Workmanship and quality is very good and the copper finish looks great with the G10 grips. This is my sixth Dawson knife. I wish they made a dagger style tactical knife or some folding knives too.
Excellent Quality, as usual.
It's beautiful. This is the third knife I have bought in about 40 years from the Dawson Family. The first was for my Brother. He still has it. The second was from Lynn. That's is my Elk skinnin knife. Never leave camp without it. And this one, "Just Because."
Thank you for that amazing 5 star review on your new Mountain man! We are thrilled to hear that you like it so much and we hope you continue to love it for the many years to come. As always, thank you for the continued support to our family business. May your edge always be sharp!
Wonderful... I will admit I was Leary about the Specter finish, because in all the pics on the web page it looks like Chrome. I didn't want a Hil Gibbons display knife, I wanted a tough useful knife. I was very pleasantly surprised, which I should have known it was gonna be great, and it is. It is a subdued silver, that shows in the pics as a chrome sheen, so I'm very happy with the way it looks! And the Bowie size I had been wanting for a long time! Thanks Dawson, so glad I stopped at your table so many years ago at a Denver gun show.

I purchased one of the Mountain men during Dawson's open order session this year, and I have to say that I'm more than floored with the craftsmanship. This knife is large, unbelievably well made, and crazy strong. It comes with a sheath that is half leather and half plastic, the blade pops into it in very satisfying way due to how it's constructed, that's designed to hold the blade in well while in it. So it's very possible to keep this at ones side if needed.
I ordered this knife, with the Copper finish, and Arizona Ironwood handle. I'm from the southwest and am familiar with Ironwood in person, and they knocked the handle out of the park, it's very pretty, well oiled, and looks gorgeous, it's wonderful to hold something made in the southwest, for someone living in the southwest.
I suppose there is a fantasy involved with owning a knife made from the very land you come from, and this fits the bill.
It's a pricey blade, but it just oozes quality in every nook and cranny, I honestly can't stop looking at it.
I plan on carrying it with me on mountain hikes as I've had a few occasions where a large knife has been a boon to have along, It'll be by my side until I die.
A thousand times thank you for the wonderful knife.
