Crafted from premium, American-made CPM-Magnacut stainless steel in heavy-duty .210" stock, the Shepherd features a 3 7/8" blade that is highly resistant to corrosion or staining. Thanks to our own specialty heat treat, Dawson blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels.

Super build

I own several Dawson knives and the Sheperd is the most rugged. The blade’s spine is thicker than my Huntsman, but the belly of the blade is hollow ground to a nice geometry for maintaining a razor edge. This knife is sturdy and strong. Craftsmanship is excellent and the handle fits a larger hand with plenty of room for gripping. I’m an outdoorsman and I’m always searching for the perfect knife. You cannot go wrong with a Dawson knife and the Sheperd is a great choice if you can only have one woods knife. All my Dawson knives are top quality and the customer service is excellent.
