The generous, beefy blade on the Big Bear has plenty of heft to power your way through camp chores, chopping, shelter building and game quartering. Built using one of the best "super steels" available, CPM-MagnaCut, the Big Bear holds an excellent edge and is highly resistant to staining and corrosion. Integral hand guard and thumb rest for secure handling, with a removable rear fastener if you prefer to add a lanyard.
Available in your choice of textured G10 or polished Carbon Fiber handle scales.

I am extremely happy with this knife! I wish I had two!! One to use and one to put in the safe. The quality is outstanding and edge is extremely sharp. Hats off to the sheath man! Very nice knife that feels much lighter in hand than expected.
I took advantage of a recent sale to add 2 new Dawson knives to my Dawson collection, the Big Bear and Forester. As with the others, I'm always impressed with the quality and workmanship that is immediately evident when you both see and handle these pieces of art. Now that I'm at six knives, I may have to take a break, unless something irresistible comes along.
I have about 50 knives and thats one of the most i like!There is nothing about i can complain.The knife is perfectly made.The finish is amazing.Its a big and solid knife!I will come back for another Dawson knife for sure!
This is my 2nd dawson...I actually got it as a gift for my friend. I have the spectre finish big bear for myself. Absolutely amazing quality. I have full confidence with it in the backcountry. I liked it so much I had to make sure my buddy had one for himself.
My Third and most beautiful Dawson blade in Magnacut.
Shipping was lightning fast at two days and the colors and hamon on this blade is absolutely stunning. I love Arizona Copper finish and Magnacut takes a razor edge.
I slightly reprofiled to 17 degrees on my worksharp and its one helluva chunk of blade. Iam not afraid to chop or bull my way through anyrhing as this blade can take a pounding if needed. Sheath fits it like a small short sword!

Everything about this knife is outstanding. The fit and finish, the grind lines, its sharpness out of the box, the comfort of the handle, as well as the quality of the hybrid Kydex and leather sheath. This is my first knife from Dawson Knives, as well as my first knife made from MagnaCut. I was looking for a knife made from MagnaCut and could not be more satisfied with the Big Bear from Dawson Knives.
Their customer service was outstanding as well. I was able to add engraving to my knife after I ordered it, and I was also able to change the shipping address for it due to unplanned travel. In both instances, the crew at Dawson Knives was able to accommodate my requests and the knife shipped rapidly to the correct loction.
