What a beauty! The sleek sweep of this elegant Asian style blade is ideal as a slicer or fighter, with a perfect top bevel for balance and Barry's signature Climbing Vine Filework along the spine. The steel shown is American made, 3/16" high contrast Damascus, specially tempered using Barry's own custom heat treat for a superior blade with exceptional toughness and edge retention. The integral hand guard features scrollwork and thumbrests behind each for safety and easy handling. The handle is shaped from polished and stabilized wood, shown here with a beautiful piece of California Buckeye fastened to the tang with handmade Mosaic Pins of Barry's own design. The smooth, palm style pommel features a stainless thong hole and the Tanto comes complete with a custom fitted leather sheath with holster stud, ideal for tucking into a traditional Japanese sash or obi or a western style belt.
