Pompeii Gladius in Damascus

Barry's Pompeii Gladius is designed with the modern Gladiator in mind with a broad blade, wide cross section and a razor sharp double edge! With this in your hand you can almost hear the Coliseum crowds roar! More than twice the value of a single edged blade, double edged swords are in a class all their own. The overall length of this piece is approximately 16 1/2".
The Gladius boasts an impressive 10 3/4" blade made from 3/16" high contrast Brad Vice Damascus. American quality from an American craftsman! This beautiful and unique steel is forged from a blend of 5160, 15N20, 52100 & Nickle. There are also twin thumb rests behind each integral guard for handling and safety.
The handle is made from a Barry's Interlocking Wrap, underlaid with an exceptionally nice piece of Arizona Ironwood in a pattern ranging from dark chocolate brown to bright red-gold. Barry's handmade Mosaic Pins add the perfect touch. The twists and knots on this wrap are the results of many years of experience that only a few in the entire world have managed to master. Very comfortable and highly slip resistant!
This beauty has been custom heat treated by Barry with his own custom process known the world over for the tough, shock resistant blades and superior edges it produces.
The Gladius comes complete with custom fitted stitched leather sheath with a holster stud. The leather as always is treated to resist moisture and maintain its good looks.
