Dawson Kissaki Knife

This is the latest addition to Barry's popular Japanese Fighting Knife line, the Kissaki. A beautiful, elegant design based on the ancient Samurai warrior's companion blades, and favored throughout history in various martial arts forms and as assasin's blades. Barry's brand new high contrast hardline is available on the Kissaki, made possible by a unique, authentic differential heat treat developed by Barry and many years in the development and perfection. This heat treat produces a very hard cutting edge, (visible on the darker "hard line" shown in the picture) with a softer back (the lighter area along the spine of the blade) to absorb shock and resist chipping or breaking. PLEASE NOTE: The hard line is only available with the high carbon steel option. The 4 3/4" blade has a top bevel for easy penetration and is hollow ground to a razor fineness on the edge. The Kasaki features Barry's Japanese Interlocking Wrap, underlaid with genuine Sting Ray skin for extra gripping power. The overall length is 9". The Kissaki comes with a multi positional black Kydex sheath, custom fitted to each knife and designed to worn in a variety of ways, including cross-draw.
