Gladius with Square Guards
Product Description
This is a new sword design from Barry, based on his popular Gladius. Barry has been making beautiful custom knives and swords for 30+ years, and the experience and meticulous eye for detail that have made his blades famous really shows in his sword designs. All are perfectly balanced, a pleasure to hold and wield. The handles, while artful and beautfiul, are designed with comfort and practicality in mind.
The 12" long, high contrast Damascus blade is broad and powerful, with a razor sharp double edge and artful yet functional integral hand guards with scroll work. The piece is 3/16" thick, made from high contrast Damascus steel forged by Brad Vice. Brad's Damascus is folded an average of 800+ times and is a blend of 5160, 15N20, 52100 & Nickle.
The handle is available in your choice of natural stabilized woods, Black or Ivory Micarta. The handle is detailed with diagonal fluting and shaped with a crown style pommel and handmade Mosaic pins of Barry's own design.
This beauty comes complete with custom fitted stitched leather sheath with a holster stud in either Black or Tan leather. The leather has been carefully hand dyed and specially treated to resist moisture.
