All the little details...
Barry's "Master Bowie" would certainly be the envy of our pioneer fathers. Just holding it makes one feel as though he could brave any wilderness. Fighting Black Bears along the great Mississippi wilderness or carving a shelter against the cruel winter snows, our forebears would have been safe and secure with their Master Bowie. A radio personality recently referred to a "perfect storm" coming our way. Barry's Master Bowie might go along way to taming that storm for the lucky winner of this prize. Belly up to the bar and treat yourself, you deserve it!
The handle is expertly shaped to fit perfectly into the curves of your hand, becoming a seamless extension of your arm. Barry has taken a simple piece of wood and discovered beauty within. He has given light to what otherwise would be lost to us. The wood is red-gold Arizona Ironwood with Barry's Mosaic Pins fastening the scales securely to the full tang.
The approximately 11" blade is made from heavy-duty 1/4" high carbon 5160. This original beauty has a precise hollow grind and an integral hand-guard with finger notches filed top and bottom. The top bevel and belly make this blade a superior slicer. Barry has also added his intricate climbing vine file work to the spine of the blade.
This Dawson beauty comes in a custom fitted stitched black leather sheath with holster stud. Designed to be worn "western style" over the belt, riding comfortably and securely out of the way on your horse or ATV. Approximate 17 1/4" overall length.
