Damascus Grizzly Bowie

I fell instantly in love with the Grizzly Bowie. Here is a masterpiece of artfully crafted steel. The Damascus has an unusual fascination of light and dark shades. This amazing Bowie feels like magic in your hand. I was ready to head for the frontier with our forefathers. West of the Mississippi River was bear country where our pioneer fathers fought bear for sport with only their Bowie knife and raw courage. I really didn't want to let her go!
The approximately 9" blade is made from heavy-duty 3/16" high contrast Damascus steel, forged from a blend of 5160, 15N20, 52100 and Nickel. The Grizzly Bowie has a precise hollow grind and integral hand-guards with finger notches filed behind each. The sweeping top bevel makes this blade a superior slicer. Barry has also added his intricate climbing vine file work to the spine of the blade.
The handle is expertly shaped to fit perfectly into the curves of your hand, becoming a seamless extension of your arm. Barry has taken a simple piece of wood and discovered beauty within. He has given light to what otherwise would be lost to us. The wood is golden-brown Arizona Ironwood with Barry's Mosaic Pins fastening the scales securely to the full tang.
This Dawson beauty comes in a custom fitted stitched black leather sheath with holster stud. Designed to be worn "western style" over the belt, riding comfortably and securely out of the way on your horse or ATV. Approximate 14 1/2" overall length.
