The 8" blade is made from heavy-duty full sized 3/16" 5160 steel with Barry's classic Antique finish and a striking high contrast hard line. The Border Bowie has a precise hollow grind, and a handy thumb rest for safety and handling. Barry has also added his intricate climbing vine file work to the spine of the blade.
The handle is expertly shaped to fit perfectly into the curves of your hand, becoming a seamless extension of your arm. Barry's handmade Mosaic Pins fasten the scales securely to a strong full tang.
This Dawson beauty comes in a custom fitted stitched black leather sheath with holster stud. Designed to be worn "western style" tucked inside your belt, riding comfortably and securely out of the way on your horse or ATV. Approximately 13" overall length.
