This beautiful Celtic Short Sword is a joy to the eye and pure pleasure to wield. Perfectly balanced with a tough, razor sharp point for piercing and 12" of perfectly ground shaving sharp double edge, this beauty has been custom heat treated by Barry for a tough, shock resistant blade with superior edge holding capabilities. The compact yet substantial oval brushed steel handguard offers maximum hand protection and blade control that rides compactly and comfortably. The skill and experience of a lifetime shine through on this very special short sword. The Celtic Short Sword is shown in 5160 high carbon non stainless steel but is also available in American made high contrast Damascus steel, ATS-34 or 440C.
The polished and stabilized wood handle has a coffin style pommel and is overlaid with Barry's intricate Japanese Interlocking Wrap in a heavy duty flat Nylon cord. The twists and knots on this wrap are the results of many years of experience which only a few in the entire world have managed to master. Very comfortable and highly slip resistant, you can tell from the first time you pick this beauty up it was made to used and look good doing it. A masterpiece of function and style! The overall length is approx 17 1/2".
The Celtic Short Sword comes with its own custom fitted brown Leather sheath, specially designed to be worn tucked inside a sash or western style belt with a special holster stud.
