Product Description
This awesome bowie is based on a classic western design with a razor sharp slicing edge and a clip point.
The 8 1/4" blade is made from heavy duty full sized 1/4" high carbon non-stainless steel (shown) or 440C. It is available with Barry's sharp looking Midnight finish (shown) or satin finish. The Border Bowie has a precise hollow grind, and handy thumbrest for safety and handling. The blade has been differentially heat treated and has a visible "hard line". Barry has also added his intricate climbing vine filework to the spine of the blade.
The handle is available in your choice of polished Black or Ivory Micarta, a water resistant and virtually indestructible material that is ideal for everyday use, or stablized wood. The handle pins are Barry's handmade Mosaic in a beautiful, unique pattern.
The Dawson Border Bowie comes in a custom fitted stitched leather sheath with holster stud.
