Anubis is a brand new design from Barry based on ancient Persian and Egyptian upswept blade styles. When you hold this gorgeous piece you feel the craftmanship that went into it, it's perfectly balanced thanks to the generous handle. Feels quick and deadly in hand and is simply effortless to wield.
Anubis boasts an impressive 10" blade made from heavy duty full size 1/4" high carbon non stainless steel with Barry's beautiful black Midnight finish and a visible hard line. There are thumbrests both on the spine of the blade and behind the guard for handling and safety. Barry has also added his beautiful climbing vine filework to the spine of the blade. This piece is approximately 15" overall.
The handle is made from Barry's interlocking Japanese wrap, underlaid with ultra tough Black Canvas Micarta. Barry is one of only a handful of makers in the US who can produce this comfortable and durable wrap style, that he then resin treats to resist moisture and grime.
The Anubis comes complete with custom fitted stitched leather sheath with a holster stud. The leather as always is treated to resist moisture.
