Alaskan Big Game Bowie

This Big Game Bowie is actually based on a design taken from a circa late 1800's photograph depicting big game hunters in the Alaskan wilderness. In recent years this design, with its deep belly and dramatic recurve has been adopted by martial artists as a robust and formidable fighting bowie.
The 8" blade is made from heavy duty full sized 3/16" 440C stainless steel with a beautiful satin finish and precise hollow grind as well as handy thumbrests for safety and handling. There is also Barry's signature climbing vine filework along the spine of the blade and the handy guard keeps your hand where it belongs. Along the dramatic sweep of the spine is a beautiful top bevel.
The handle is available in polished Black or Ivory Micarta, an ultra tough material designed especially to stand up to water, mud and grime without swelling, splitting or cracking.
The Dawson Alaskan Big Game Skinner comes in a black, custom fitted stitched leather sheath with holster stud.
